FDA Releases Proposed Warning Labels

In November, The FDA released information about a proposed rule for text and graphic warning labels for cigarette packages and advertisements. A “Frequently Asked Questions” document about the proposed warnings explains that “Section 201 of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (Tobacco Control Act) requires nine new larger and more noticeable textual warning statements to appear on cigarette packages and in cigarette advertisements.”
